On August 16-22, the 2023 World Robot Conference (WRC 2023) convened at Beiren Etrong International Exhibition & Convention Center in Beijing. The conference consisted of 6 main forums, nearly 30 thematic forums, and serial supporting activities. Supported by 25 international organizations, the conference invited 320 top scientists and entrepreneurs from China and abroad to propel the advances of robot+application scenarios.

The WRC is currently the most influential platform for the global robotics industry to exchange ideas and network professionals of the circle. This year’s event featured the launch of the World Robot Cooperation Organization (WRCO), which is an international, academic, non-profit social organization formed voluntarily by universities, research institutions, companies, enterprises, international organizations engaged in robotics research, development, design, production, application and other related fields worldwide.

Over 600 products from around 160 leading industry players were displayed at the World Robot Expo to showcase cutting-edge technologies and visions for the future.

Another highlight was the sideline program of World Robot Contest (WRCC). Known as the “Olympic Games” in the robotics field, the contest has cumulatively attracted a total of 150,000 plus contestants from more than 20 countries and regions to compete since it was initiated in 2015.

Co-sponsored by the People's Government of Beijing Municipality, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People’s Republic of China (MIIT), and the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST), the conference has been held from 2015 to 2023 for 8 consecutive years. It is a prestigious international conference in global robotic industry with the largest scale, the highest standards, and the most intensified resources, and of guiding significance for innovation and entrepreneurship.
