The 2023 World Intelligent Manufacturing Conference opened in Nanjing, east China’s Jiangsu Province on December 6, 2023.

Xin Changxing, secretary of the Party Committee of Jiangsu Province, attended the conference and delivered a speech.

The opening ceremony and the keynote speech session of the conference was presided over by Xu Kunlin, governor of Jiangsu Province.

Xin Guobin, vice minister of Industry and Information Technology, and Wang Jinzhan, member of the leading Party members group and secretary of the Secretariat of the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) addressed the conference respectively.

Experts and scholars in the field of intelligent manufacturing in relevant institutions, universities, research institutes, associations and enterprises both at home and abroad participated in the conference.

The conference witnessed unveiling of the International Coalition of Intelligent Manufacturing (ICIM).

In addition, the 2023 World Top 10 Technological Advancements in Intelligent Manufacturing, the national pilot factories in intelligent manufacturing, the 8 trends of China's intelligent manufacturing development were released, and the winners of the 3rd Intelligent Manufacturing Innovation Competition's achievements were awarded.

On behalf of the Jiangsu provincial government, Hu Guangjie, vice governor of the province, signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) and the Aero Engine Corporation of China (AECC) respectively.

Zhou Ji, honorary president of the International Coalition of Intelligent Manufacturing and academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE), Bernard Charlès, chairman of the Board of the Dassault Systemes,  Mr. Cao Jianguo, academician of the CAE and chairman of the Aero Engine Corporation of China, Mr. Xiao Song, executive vice president of Siemens, and Mr. Xu Wenwei, director of the Scientist Advisory Committee of Huawei, delivered keynote speeches respectively.

Under the theme of "Intelligent, Digital and Connected Transformation, Digital-real Economy Integration and Innovation", the 2023 World Intelligent Manufacturing Conference held thematic forums, professional forums,  competitions of several industrial categories, and on-site exhibitions, fully showcasing the new landscape of digital real integration development under the background of new industrialization and presenting the development trend of intelligent manufacturing in all aspects.

This year’s conference was co-sponsored by the Jiangsu Provincial Government, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and CAST.

It was jointly hosted by the Industry and Information Technology Department of Jiangsu, the Foreign Affairs Office of Jiangsu, the Jiangsu Association for Science and Technology (JAST), the Jiangsu Academy of Chinese Engineering S&T Strategy for Development, the Intelligent Manufacturing Alliance of CAST, and the Nanjing Municipal Government.
